Lower Zambezi National park situated in the South east of Lusaka on the Boarder with Zimbabwe and runs along the northern bank of the Zambezi River. Approximately 4,092 square kilometers in size, the Park is endowed with abundant wildlife. The common wildlife species include the elephant, hippo, zebra, buffalo, lion, crocodile and several bird species. What to do and see: Lower Zambezi is popular for canoe safaris. Other activities include game drives, fishing and boat cruise. Access: The Park is accessible by air from Lusaka. There is an airstrip at Jeki inside the Park and an all-weather airport at Royal Zambezi Lodge. You can also access the Park by road from Lusaka via Chirundu.
